How we research tools

• Every fact on a tool page (pricing, free plan, platforms supported, user counts) comes from that vendor's own website. Sources are linked at the bottom of each review.
• When a vendor doesn't publish a number, we write "Not public" instead of guessing.
• User counts are the vendor's own claims; we don't audit them.
• Best-of lists rank tools by fit for that specific use case, not by overall size.
• We track 117 tools. Data last checked September 2026.

Spotted outdated pricing or a missing tool? Vendors and readers can request corrections.
